The route covers 72.9 miles with approximately 1,541 feet of climb , making for a relatively flat opening day. Riders will pass through the towns of Granville, Primghar, Hartley (the designated meeting town), and May City in that order before reaching Milford . A special theme highlights the day: a “Tire Dip” ceremony in Orange City to kick off the ride, and a “Mile of Silence” early on where cyclists ride quietly to honor those lost in cycling accidents.
